For the past
3 months, Marina and I have been receiving some of the best in-service training
one could possibly ask for!
Right now, we
are just over halfway into a training program known as CPx, which stands for
Church Planting Experience. Immediately you might wonder if or when we will
start our new church and what it might look like, but this is not what CPx is
all about. CPx is a five-month leadership
equipping program for those who are passionate to see Jesus worshiped by all nations
on the earth. At CPx we get to:
- re-imagine church as a simple, missional community
- study and practice the core-values of the Kingdom of God
- experience serving and learning in a multi-cultural context.

over the world:
Australia, Canada, Germany, Malawi, Morocco, Netherlands, Scotland, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland,

The
program is quite intense but so worth it! From February to April we received world-class
input in a lecture setting with weekly outreach opportunities. Now, during May
& June we get to practice what was preached in teams – doing full-time outreach.
Some have been sent to Malawi, Zambia, Madagascar & India, while others
such as ourselves stayed behind in Cape Town – reaching out on campuses and
into some of the surrounding townships to the poor & needy.

At the end of June, all the teams will return for 10 days of evaluations and debriefing.
We can hardly wait to hear everyone’s testimonies of what God has done!!
